Drumsticks or Moringa Leaves Paratha
Easy healthy homemade moringa leaves paratha( bread) recipes using whole wheat flour
5 paratha 5 minutes 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Drumstick leaves Chopped
- 1 Cup Whole Wheat
- 1/2 tsp Chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp Carom seeds
- 1 tbsp Ghee or oil
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Water to knead the dough
Instructions
1. In a bowl add wheat flour, chopped moringa leaves, chili, cumin, and garam masala powder, carom seed, oil, salt mix well
2. Add water and kneed into a smooth dough
3. Divide the dough into 5 equal portions and roll out each portion into a circle of semi-thick by dusting extra flour
4. Heat a Tava on medium flame and place the paratha on hot tava let it cook using ghee or oil on both sides, till golden brown spots appear on both sides.
5. Serve hot with curd, pickle, or raita
Moringa or Drumsticks leaves Soup
Moringa leaves soup also known as Murungai Keerai soup in South India is very easy to prepare. This soup is rich in iron and protein and also good for the eyes.

Ingredients
- 2 Cup Fresh Drumstick leaves Chopped
- 5 Shallots
- 6 Garlic cloves
- 2 Tomato
- 1 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
1. In a pressure cooker, add fresh drumsticks leaves with peeled shallots, garlic, chopped tomatoes, coriander, and turmeric powder
2. Add 2 cup of water and cook for 2 whistles in a pressure cooker
3. After 2 whistles, open the cooker, strain the soup using a filter, squeeze and extract the soup
4. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve hot
Moringa’s leaves rice
Moringa leaves rice or murungai keerai sadam is so delicious and quick to prepare which is apt for lunch box.

Ingredients
- 1 Cup Fresh Drumstick leaves Chopped
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 2 Dry chili split into two
- 1 Cup Cooked rice
- 1/2 Chopped onion
- 1 tsp Channa Dal Bengal gram
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
Instructions
1. Heat oil in a pan, once the oil gets heated add cumin seeds, channa dal, and let it crackle.
2. Add chopped onion, dry red chili, and salt to taste, saute until onion turns into golden color.
3. Then add fresh moringa leaves and little salt saute until leaves are half cooked
4. Add some water and cook until the water evaporated, add grated coconut(optional) and saute for 1 minute
5. Now add cooked rice and mix well, drumstick leaves rice is ready to serve hot.
